63 days without rain. Very little humidity in the air. And all of us getting impatient for a change in the weather. Enough of this dry spell everyone says.
And then the change comes! Cloudy days with mist, light drizzle, mostly cloudy skies and moderate rain. Words that bring relief to everyone except producers with many films to make.
Filming outdoors requires sun and blue skies. With this change in the weather comes the work of changing filming dates, consulting other meteorological centers and forming new film crews. Until the inevitable suggestion arises: how about filming in the Northeast?
This anguish is part of a producer’s DNA and these events are merely harbingers of the fact that the spring and summer of 2012 will be just like other years.
Welcome rain! Welcome to spring and summer in the tropics!
